Zebulon & Wakelon Picnic Shelters
Zebulon, NC
DeVon Tolson Architecture provided site development, architectural, structural and engineering services for two picnic shelters for the Town of Zebulon as part of the Town’s commitment to assist in the development of the play areas at the Zebulon Elementary School and the Wakelon Elementary School. The shelter was design to sit among the trees at the Zebulon site and to overlook the soccer field at the Wakelon site.
The building was design to include a large picnic area with storage and toilet facilities. The material were selected based aesthetics, durability, function and maintenance.
Scope of Services: Architecture, engineering and Site development
Size: 1800 square feet each
Completion: Summer 2009
Construction Cost: $336,600 – both structures & site work |
